Did you know that only 12-15% of Animal Hospitals are not accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The reason for this is that accreditation for animal hospitals are voluntary in the State. Luckily, Newport Beach Veterinary Animal Hospital of Orange County are proudly accredited by the AAHA.
As the accreditation program is not mandatory by law, we recommend to always check your pet’s hospital accreditations. We know that the certification process might be rigorous and time-consuming for some other clinics but for us is a matter of trust, we understand the peace of mind that this accreditation and laws give our patients and clients and we consider them as part of our commitment to the community.
The AAHA accreditation assesses a hospital standards and excellence within 900 criteria guidelines of veterinary quality. Careful reviews and routine inspections are mandatory every 3 years to keep the accreditation by the state. Complaints are also taken very seriously when filed by a pet owner as the AAHA accreditation is considered the benchmark for veterinary distinction within the U.S. and Canada.
